The original painting of Peterborough Cathedral arrived safely yesterday and it is really lovely. Your father captured the character of this beautiful building exactly. A haven of peace and tranquility. Who would believe that just round the corner is a busy, modern city? Thank you so much. I shall enjoy feasting my eyes on the painting for years to come.

Surrey, EnglandI met your father years ago in your gallery at Chigwell. I have always admired his work and have one of his prints of Thames barges at home. I found your late father a kind man, he spent over an hour of his valuable time giving me a painting lesson, which made me feel very special. I try to paint in watercolour and still remember his advice… if you really want to be an artist you’ll make it, but you’ve got to want it… When things are not going too well I always remember that and it keeps me going.

OntarioYesterday I received the two prints of Thatched Cottages Adare. They are beautiful. They arrived in pristine condition and one will soon hang in a place of honor in my home. The second print will go to my cousin and his family. Five years ago they lost their 18 year old daughter in a tragic automobile accident here in the States. They and their late daughter also spent time in Adare. As a memorial, my family and I had a tree planted and a plaque installed in the village park in Adare. That tree and plaque are located just beyond the last cottage in the print, so you can see the print has a special meaning for me and my family. I will enjoy it for many years to come, for the many great memories of Adare that I have accumulated over the years and the sadness of the memorial I wish never needed to exist. Thanks again
